Couldnīt resist temptation and started to practice for KV campaign next year. Under construction is Trumpy KV-II "Big turret" (00311) and guestion is: how to paint tail light? It is divided for two sections and Iīm wondering, is it all red? I have read one comment earlier, that lower part should be blue? Is HU154 right for red or should I use gloss red?
Guestion 2: Eduard PE set says, I should add round, metal grille to cover the tail light. Is that proper advice or was the grille one of those things, that usually was dropped off first, when out in action on the front?

You might post this on missing-lynx.com Allied message board, since Neil Stokes, author of the massive new KV book from Air Connection, posts there. It's right up his alley.

I thought the upper part of the taillight was red and the lower part was blackout, but I'm just going from memory. Gerald is right, though. If anyone would know the correct answer, it would be Neil.

And what's this about a KV campaign? Did I miss something?

I usually keep an eye on the Campaign page, but I missed this one. Consider me signed up.

Another option is to look over Neil's webpage for model builders: 4BOGREEN

E-mail would be good too, Neil is a very nice guy.

The top (the larger of the two) is dark blue and the bottom is red.
No need to go all over hell and gone for a simple answer.
