Bob,
Thanks for the signup link. I have done so.
What do I plan to build?
Too many choices!
However, I have narrowed it down to one of the following:
Trumpeter 128mm PaK 44 Anti-Tank Gun
Great Wall 12.8cm PaK 44 L/55 Anti-Tank Gun by Rheinmetall
Great Wall 12.8cm PaK 44 Anti-Tank Gun by Krupp

Or one of the new US 105mm Howitzers
Or a Karl
Or a 203mm Russian Gun
Or a
Or a
Or a!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too Many choices.
I guess I'll stick to the big honking 128mm AT gun (version to be decided later)

I am three campaigns behind already but WtH an October start should give me time.
I hope to do either a mid'50's BAOR M44 SPG of 1 RHA. I did the reseach and put a few things by for a campaign entry a few years ago but I never got around to start it. Then again I am currently on a Swedish thing at the moment so I have thoughts about a 1/35th Bandkanon BK1C, if I can get decent references that is

Well...I am in this campaign and trying to decide (thank god I got time to decide) between Dragon's M3 75MM, The Dana or an all PE 88MM Flak 36

Hi Bob,

Yep the kit includes the dolly wheels on the box art, here's a couple of sprue shots.

I was just surprised how small the box is, looking forward to the campaign now and getting it built.....

Jason

Jason,
I have recently finished this kit and it will make a beautiful model.

I know you will have a good time making this model.

Tom how are those GreatWall kits ?
Only read some good reviews but never had the chance to buy or see a real kit.

I'm still not sure what to pick either, several SP german weapons, maybe a Wespe. I have to check the stash and pick one or two kits.
It's gonna be the Hummel SP, or if I can get my hands on some AM stuff for the Wespe in time. Maybe both kits

Great Campaign, next year we should redo another Arty Campaign.

Hello! New member, love the forum and blown away by the quality and high standards of much of the work I've seen from browsing various threads.

Then I discovered the campaigns!! Which coincides nicely with an extravagant purchase I've just made, it's due for delivery today, I can't sleep because it feels like Christmas day notwithstanding I'm 55 and should know better.

So I've added myself to your campaign and in the cause of my artillery barrel's bigger than your artillery barrel, I would like to announce my entry (oo er matron) with a Hobbyboss 1/72 Dora.

Through my teenage years I was quite a keen modeller then being a grown up got in the way for a while! Looking forward to getting back into it and not only producing the Dora but in my grandiose dreams a diorama for it to sit in based on a couple of photographs I've managed to find of the firing curve and dugout hillock that gave it extra protection from air attack during the Sevastapol siege in 1942.

Thanks mate. I understand that building the Dora should not start prior to 01 October and that is fine by me as I have things scheduled to do in the real world before then.
Is preparation work for the diorama itself included in that rule?

Dave, you can play with the dio base as long as the Dora stays unmolested (untouched) and in its nice little box. Most modelers will post a photo of their kit with a newspaper on the start of the campaign.

Ha! Found some spare funds and bought my M8 HMC kit for this one. I wanted to pair it with an ammo trailer, so based on another discussion here, I tracked down the scratchbuilding an M8 Trailer in the Dec 02 Finescale Modeler, but no hints on the wheels, and the M10 trailer has more character, so I'll scrounge for that Verlinden kit.
Cheers,

Wow. Just found this thread, is it too late to join? If not, count me in: I just finished an M109A2 that we used in Germany as part of our NATO commitment
before we closed our bases and moved back to Canada.

Hmm, This sounds like a nice ''between'' my other campaigns to fill the gap between my '' under a different flag campain'' and the ''duel campain''

I have my eye on a nice 17cm morser from the Africa corps...

Let me think about it...

I'm just messing around and thinking out loud. I don't have any traditional, towed artillery, but would these count?

Just wondering...

Hey Guys sorry for the late reply's been a little busy and forgot i was the campaign leader here

@ Sean From what I know an M8 is a mortar on tracks so you good to go
@Art that M109A2looks like a beast would love to see 1 of those build what type of marking are you gonna go with
@ Remco stop thinking bud and just build
@Mike from what I have read The KV-2 Was Like a mortar and had to be stationary to fire and that some were used in fixed positions at the Krupt factory so that should be ok i guess
@ Sven that kit is a great kit and hate to turn someone away from a campaign but that really dont fit the bill of artillery , its more an anti-aircraft piece. do you have anything else in the stash to go with

2 More weeks guys and I what to see those un-built kit photos I should be able to start mine at the kick off date, Trumpeters Morser Karl in 1/35 photos will be up by the start date
