The Cargo load straps set (A144) looks very interesting...The straps appear to have the accurate scale thickness.

Those straps look very good, and price is good too.
I wish Load Handling System will come as separate set, a lot of possibilties as flat rack is already available to.
I have seen it last week in Duxford and it looks fantastic.

I love subjects like this, even if I'm not familiar with the actual vehicle. Nice going AA!

Hi guys,

I agree with Adam, i asked Derek from AA if this LHS is the same as on the HEMTT.
He said he would look in to it.
It would be great if so and this LHS would be sold separate as a conversion for the HEMTT.

The DROPS is a Multilift mk IV systemas seen Janes site

The HEMTT PL S is also a Multilift product, but I can't find at this moment his name.

Salut Pascal
Looks like the Multilift system fitted to the PLS variant is a Mk V :

Thanx Frenchy, I 've just retrieve the name and it is a MkV Multilift system.(as you say)
So DROPS and M1120 LHS load systems are surely different.

Ok, but what is the difference on them?, as i scratchbuild one that is being used on M1120, and when i compare it (only by looking through glass cabinet on AA DROPS to be fair) they looked pretty much the same.

I found this article:
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb3031/is_4_25/ai_n28858884/pg_2/
, but i have a picture of capacity plate from M1120 and it is saying Mark V

Adam

You can also compare the M1120 Mark V to the Mark IV fitted to these ex-British Army Leyland Daf trucks :

I had a chance to closely look at DROPS last year at Southport airshow (a bit after i finished my build) and i must say that i haven't notice any diference. Maybe there will be few bits different on frame, rollers etc, but in general it is the same system, especially if you look at the arm.
I will say that unless somebody is aiming for 100% accuracy and will count rivets LHS from AA (if they will offer one separately) will be ok for any HEMTT or other vehicles.

If i am wrong please correct me.
