Hello All,
It is about time to start talking about the next blitzkrieg. This one is going to be different from the others as you will see when you read the parameters of the campaign.
The campaign will start on June 22,2012 and end December 31,2012.
Any and all fighting will be allowed up to the proper borders of east Prussia and the eastern German boarder. You may not have any dio's, vehicles, figures, etc beyond that point. I am saving the battle for Germany/Berlin for another blitzkrieg.

Getting back to Blitz 4 I will put out the rules at a later date, But for now I want to hear some ideas about this campaign. Should we have a few mini campaigns in the campaign like the battle for Stalingrad, Krusk or Leningrad or have a free for all like the othe blitz's? What do you all say? Please let me know.

Also There will be a prize for the best model/dio/figure. I will ask a member of the staff to judge the models after the end of the campaign and I will send you your prize.

So lets hear from you all,
Cheers,
Bruce

Count me in, sounds a great idea with the mini-campaigns with-in the main one, don't know what I'd build yet but what a choice!

Bruce, I wasn't around for the 1st 2 Blitzes but the 3rd was great so count me in
I don't know if there was that much of a difference in the equipment as much as different units, do to separate campaigns within the campaign, so my voet is for an all in 1 like the last Blitz

And I'm ready for the battle of Berlin Blitz as well with a King Tiger or Kugelblitz

Count me in, and hopefully I'll get an entry in this time!

Oh, and I kinda prefer the one big campaign because that's what I'm used to, but the mini ones sound interesting, so it doesn't matter to me.

I could be persuaded to join in with this one, I like the idea of the smaller campaigns within the campaign. I just need to manage my campaigns better, and not sign up to too many.

I kinda like the thought of the mini campaigns within the campaign. I haven't built anything from Kursk yet, which should be a mandatory requirement for armor modelers

Hello All,
I put the idea forward so instead of just generic type dio's if you wanted you could make a dio about a certain battle. It is will not be required to get your ribbon, just something different from the last blitz's campaigns.
Cheers,
Bruce
PS if the idea goes over well with the members of this campaign, I will use mini-campaigns in the other blitz's campaigns coming up.

Hello All,
This is what I think the rules should be, any suggestions are always welcome.

Here is an overview of the rules:
1) The campaign starts June 22, 2012 and ends December 31,2012.
2) The area of this campaign covers is from the start line at Brest-litovsk Treaty line in Poland to the End Line at the Eastern Border of Germany/East Prussia.
3) Any and all Nations that fought on the Eastern Front such as are allowed.
4) Such Nations that fought are: Finland, Italian, Hungarian, Spanish, Romanian, SS Units made up of troops from Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Swiss, on the German side, Plus any others that I missed.
5) Any and all Vehicles/Aircraft/Ships are allowed.
6) The scale allowed is 1/6 to 1/700.
7) Mini Campaigns such as the Battle of Kursk are allowed. This type of mini campaign is if the modeler would like to concentrate on a certain battle instead of just a general diorama setting.
8) You must post a photo with a newspaper showing the date with your model before you start your build.
9) You must post at least 1 in-progress photo in the thread during your build and the campaign, more are highly encouraged, as are BLOG's.
10) At least 1 photo must be posted in the gallery to get your Ribbon.
11) Have Fun.

I am saving the battle for Germany/Berlin for a future blitzkrieg.
Remember you have a huge amount of models to choose from IE: PZ II to PZ VI to T-34 to IS-2 plus all of the other Tanks, Tank Destroyers, Aircraft and Ships, Vehicles, Etc.

So let me know what you think?
Cheers,
Bruce

Hello All,
@ Gary,
Thanks for getting the campaign approved and for the link.
@ For Everyone else,
I am going to put an invite on the other sites as it covers ships/planes also and the scale is 1/6 to 1/700 so we might get so wild builds.
Cheers,
Bruce

So if I understand the parameters of this campaign, it covers the whole period of 41-44. Thus the borders of the Reich were not penetrated. I have a few ideas and kits that do fit quite nicely within those guidelines. So count me in, just need to remember to build something for this campaign.
