I will be making my first ever appearance at the IPMS/UK 's Scale Model World Model show in Telford on November 12 &13. Not only am I very excited about seeing all the top quality built models and shopping at the vendors' stands, I'm looking forward to meeting some of our WarWheels.Net visitors and contributors. In fact, if you see me walking around the venue or the pubs and want to say "hi", I'd love to meet you. I plan on wearing WarWheels.Net Shirts each day, but here is a link to pic of me also.

I hope to see you at the show!

I definitely look forward to seeing you there as well Keith. And believe me, I'm packing my bags so I can stuff a lot of goodies in it them on my return. Plus, I'm also keeping in mind that I can send stuff back home via Royal Mail too!

Hi patrick , you are going to have all your birthdays in one weekend . You will find it is the worlds biggest and best show by far.
Make sure you pack comfy shoes , as you will need them to walk round the 100+ club stands and the traders who at last count was nearly 120 .
as we say if you cannot find it at our Nationals then is is not produced .
Drop by Armour TAS stand and say hello .
You cannot miss it as it is in hall 1 and next to the Wallace and Gromit stand "Beyond the Box" , it will bing a smile at the very least .
cheers ian

Of course! Roy and I have been in touch already and we're definitely going to try to hook up Friday for a start. I look forward to meeting you both in person over a pint or ten!

Just an FYI guys, but I am actually leaving for the UK tonight for a bit of sightseeing before Telford. So, I may not be in contact until Scale Model World.

BTW, I may also be wearing some Armor Modeling and Preservation Society (AMPS) gear too... For those of you who don't know about AMPS, it is the "American Equivalent to MAFVA" as of one of the Brit lads has coined us. Supposedly, we'll have a little display at the MAFVA stand too, so you might be able to find me lurking about there also.

Until then...

Thanks Keith. We made it safe to the UK and have already done some great things. Yesterday, we hit Duxford and it was a wonderful time.

But, surprisingly the Land Warfare hall is closed until March 2012. However, we got REALLY lucky and the friendly museum staff took pity on us and they were able to get us in with a touring school group. Cheers to the staff!!!!
