Does anyone have pictures of the BTR-40 in Rhodesian, South African or Korean conflicts? I've tried a Google search without luck.

Hi Chris
I can't help with decals, but Rhodesia used a 2 color scheme on many (most?) of thier viehicles. You can see it in pics here: http://selousscouts.tripod.com/rhodesian_armoured_corps_.htm

Not the clearest pics but they'll give you some idea. I can also direct you to exact colors used. Its a dupont automotive color. This guy gives you the exact color number. Not cheap to have a custom color mixed by an auto paint supplier though. Theres also a link on that thread's first post that will take you to the falfiles. There are some good clear pics there you can use to mix and match it your self with modeling paints if you're good at that.

As for mounted weapons, they used the browning a lot on simple looking gargage fabricated mounts, so you could get away with a basic scrap built set up for a mount. I also remember reading they used the Bren Gun as well, But not sure if it was used for front line service. Maybe just training.

Good luck
