This truck was inspired by photos and videos of troops in Irq and Afghanistan using RPGs and individual charges to blow their way through walls and compounds. So I reckoned that the 40mm would be a good way of 'opening up' the way for them without putting individual soldiers at risk.

Bronco Bofors and Italeri M923 with additions from plastic card and rod.

Love the weathering, really like way the tires came out. It looks like something from mad max.

Just looks cool all around. Nice concept. Good to see that not only the Germans mounted a gun on anything they could find. All it needs is a camel under the rear axels.

Looks good, but it is totally fictional. The 40mm Bofors ground mount isn't even used any more. It does look like something out of Mad Max, or maybe from the Twilight 2000 Campaign.

Glad you guys like it - I did say it's a "what-if" in the title. Most modern gun-trucks only have a couple of MGs, and I saw a possible need for something a little heavier, with a longer range than the grenade chuckers that are mounted on modern trucks and land rovers etc.

It's based on the bigfoot kit.
