Ok fellas, here's the scoop. I'll be running another "what if" campaign, but I want your feedback before I lay down the rules and all that good stuff.

I'm not going to start until December, there are too many campaigns going on this year and we want to make sure that Gary keeps his sanity , not to mention the rest of us . Plus, it will be a great time to put together a gift list for the holidays

So what are you interested in seeing in the next campaign? Feel free to tell what you like and didn't like about the last one, and any ideas/suggestions are welcome.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Jeremy

Jeremy: I'm in. I say keep it pretty much the same. I like that we did a backstory. I go back and forth on the time, at some points I feel a shorter time would force better focus, but then I took on too complicated a build, which I'm still finishing, so more time is nice. Hard to say on that one. Anyway, I'd keep it open to both the historically plausible and the zombie apocolypse mindsets.

I'm not sure what I would build, but you can count me in.

I've got a couple of Bradley hulls gathering dust. Maybe something like they launcher laser munitions from behind the lines. Forward units then laser them in to their targets.

I always view the What If as more along historical/plausible lines and the End OF Days Campaign for the zombie apocalypse and road-warrior type stuff. I don't know what the status of the next End of Days Campaign is. I've got plans for that one too so it's not a big deal for me either way.

In like sin and out with a grin thats a YES!!!!!! , I already have an idea in my head for one pretty damn mutant tank .. not going into to much detail but it would start with something German and use American bits ..thinking about it,its gonna look pretty damn cool
I agree with Zon about the time line ,,a year was a little long but 6 months might be to short for some of the blokes so why not make it like 8 months ..a nice in between lenght of time .

No ideas either, but count me in. I could manage 6 months or a year-- I'm one of those who wait until there's only one or two months left then scramble to finish anyway.

Great, glad to see you all here again! Basically the vibe I'm getting is don't change anything, except the length is up in the air?

That was a full year campaign! I had to look back at the GALLERY to see the nutty stuff we did. Again, excellent work there. Gets those good ideas going.

You guys let me know what YOU are comfortable with for a starting date. I will consider either 6 or 12 months, but I won't start it until this December at the earliest. If that's too soon let me know.

We have enough people to submit the request, so I'll get that in as soon as I hear back from you all

Well, I was kinda hoping for a certain Paper Panzer Campaign to be submitted and I was wanting to use my Trumpeter E-50 kit.

Would that be appropriate for this?

Jeremy: December or later is good for me.

Jeff S. Think the paper panzers are fine but Jeremy can confirm.

I have a few ideas, all post-apocalyptic, but will keep it simpler this time.

Yes, Paper Panzers are definitely allowed! I do hope the other campaign is approved as well though, and no reason you couldn't build one for both if it does take off

Soooo, 6 months it sounds like this time? Is that going to be enough time for any necessary scratchbuilding?

I'm taking it from the silence that December 2012, 6 months, leave everything the same is the way to go?

Yep. I have the Walking Tiger V2 in my head. Vast improvements over the prototype, including actually BEING constructed.
