Hello.

I decided to show here construction of one more Soviet supertank - SMK.

This tank was developed and constructed in 1939-1940. Only one copy of this tank was constructed.

It took part in war in Finland in 1940 as a prototype together with prototypes of KV tanks and T-100.

SMK tank drawing:

In work I plan to use details of KV - "Hobby Boss"

Tank case:

Very ambitions build, I can see how this is an evolution of the KV series of tanks and seeing this monster roll towards you mush have been frightining.

I am sorry about moderators: I was mistaken with the topic location.

I wanted to insert this topic in "48th Scale" - my tank on the scale of 1:48.

If it is possible, I ask to transfer a topic.

In "48th Scale" I already showed construction of the Soviet experimental KV-5 supertank http://armorama.com/forums/193782&page=1

It would be desirable, that these topics were together.

Once again, I am sorry for inconveniences.

The main turret is ready (while without a gun).
Now it is necessary to cover with a first coat (that shortcomings became visible).

Put on a tower a first coat.
Errors came to light. It is necessary to correct.

The welds are very well done. Are you making them out of Squadron green putty?

For simulation of welding I use slices of model plastic.
Here I showed process of production of a welded seam:
