Hi guys

I have just come back to this beautiful hobby, after a 15 years break.

One of the first thing I did, was changing from enamels to acrylics-Vallejo. I have bought about 25 different bottles now, but off course, still have along way to go.

Right now I am building some Russian AFV's, BRDM 2 Gaskin, BMP 1 and BTR 152. And for those, I need colours.

I do not know much about russian AFV-colours at all, so if you could tell me a little about what Vallejo colours to buy or mix, and/or maybe quote some links to where i could learn more about this.

Thanks for reading.

Happy modelling

Peter

Actually, Vallejo under the AK Interactive brand name has a set of 6 russian green shades. I just ordered this set at Lucky Model on sale for 10.99! You can still get it from them, but unfortunately the sale is over. Cheers, bob

Is that the AK 4BO green color modulation set- if so then there are only four actual green colors in that set- the other two bottles are grey primer and satin varnish. Its a good set though, makes color modulation very simple.

Peter- Vallejo do a color called 'Russian Green'- its part of their 'Model Air' range, thinned for airbrushing,- its not perfect but its a good starting point for Russian armor. Check out their website here:

http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/model-paints/division/3

Also if you do a search on this forum for things like, 'Russian Green' 'Russian green color' etc you'll get plenty of threads where the colors of Russian armor are talked about at length.

Hope this helps.

I use their "russian green". It looks good, when it's wet, but it gets too dark for me,when dried.
I would add some white to this color.
