Hey all as the new year is starting, and there are some new campaigns. How about another one. Bringing back to life the Panzer build from 2005. I was think like June to Dec 31st.
So post here if you are interested.

Operational Overview
The key is to build a WWII GERMAN tank between the years 1939 - 1945

The Rules and Regs

Contest Element
Ribbons will be awarded for participants who post at least 1 finished entry no matter how many are entered.
All scales are welcome
Any Campaign Involved in.
Single builds
Multiple Builds
Dioramas
Builds with Figures
OOB or with any aftermarket items
Any nation who operated the Panzer type Tank. They just did TD's and SPG's. But its up to what the group would like.

Please use an obvious title when posting in the forum. (Something like: My Panzer 2 campaign entry.)
Please send me a PM or email to tell you submitted an entry to make sure I don’t miss them in the forum.

[Actually posts should be added to the campaign thread, not a separate post. - Armorama Campaign Administrator]

Here is the ribbon that would be awarded The Iron Cross in Gold.

Panzers Return!! Campaign
This Iron Cross in Gold awards the few stubborn tank commanders who successfully completed the Panzer!! Campaign and showing their reliability by just fulfilling their mission regardless the absence of both strategic and operational leadership from the general high command.

Great idea and German WWII armor is my favorite subject but I think that I am already committed to like 20 campaigns for next year already so don't count me in but if it kicks off I will try to make it

Hi! Seems pretty broad to me! Panzer? Are we meaning a German tank with a turret and gun(s), as versus a StuG or open-top TD or a jagdpanzer? I (hoping) sure that this won't include halftracks, etc., but stick within the gamut of Pz 1, II, III, IV, V (Panther), VI (Tiger) and VI-B (KT)? And no paper panzers, etc? (hint hint) I could be in on this from June to DEC '13 or later. I'm pretty much a "German" builder and have, oh, a couple - 2 hundred kits in the pile to choose from!

I'm in. The time frame works for me. I'm not sure what I'll do. I think Dragon puts out an early Panzer 4. I'll have to pick up something.

I've got a DML Panther A with Verlinden zimmerit that I could throw in this The only problem is I already test fitted some zimm to the turret D: If that's alright then I'll use that.

This sounds like a good chance for me to maybe test the waters here on this site with a build that I will try (and probably fail at) to build out of the box without any scratch detailing. And it seems like it is going to be a truly wide open campaign with anything German that had a turret and gun. I have the old Alan Pz IIC with the Eduard PE set that I would use and should be able to knock out in 6 months. But I think maybe I am just a bit confused with your last paragraph. Does that last bit mean that the only people receiving a ribbon will be those that also completed the first Panzers Campaign some several years ago?

No. The two campaigns are alike in theme but that is all.

Hello All

Sorry for delay, in writing back, currently in Afghanistan as some of you know. ok to answer some of the questions.

The Timeframe is June 13' to Dec 31st 13', I tried this Time frame because alot of the current campaigns and some in the new year will be ending or just ended.

This Campaign is the Second edition or rebirth of the Panzer Campaign from 2005. But is not a continuation of the Panzer Campaign from then. And the Award will be for this campaign.

I was thinking originally just tanks of the Panzerkamphwagen platfom, because there was just the SPG/TD campaign. But in all correctness also any vehicle of any type with the use of a Panzer Chassis I think I should say would be an acceptable subject. Such as the Hetzer (Pz38) Stug III (PZIII) Hummell (PZIV)but, MR. Kato will have final say as he is the Big Dog, But with the amount of intrest and in the sprirt of the builds and topics I am all for it.

Yes , No Halftrack or wheeled or Paper Panzers as there already is a camaign for them.

Eugene

PS: on a side note. I also proposed a "Commonwealth Thunder" Campaign. That is under review for consideration.

Well then, the time frame is good for me,I will build Dragon #6633 1/35 StuG.III Ausf.G w/Zimmerit, July 1944, Late Production,I will add the Legend stowage set,and maybe a figure.Hopefully StuG's will be OK,if not I would probably do a DAK Panzer 1A,but hopefully the StuG will fly.
