News from Dragon Models is a German anti-aircraft gun in 1/35 scale heading our way in the near future.

I have the Tamyia kit, but I might just add this to my growing collection of German flak guns

Sort of...

"finally".

I mean, this could be cool - D has had the 3.7cm FlaK 36/37 in its "mounted" inventory for years - now we get it by itself with a ground mount. While never actually seeing nor building any of the Dragon tracks w/ FlaK kits, I've heard and read tell that the gun is very nice - and so I would expect that this stand-alone release will be good.

I do, however, wish that they were selling it with its little trailer, so that one could set this gun up as a towed item!

Yes!!! This stand alone has been needed. I have one from every manufacturer. I love dio's/pics and videos showing these in ground support role, for which it's an absolutely DEVASTATING weapon. Desperately need a crew now.

I see Dragon getting out in a near future, a version w/trailer, another one w/crew for Russian theatre, another one w/Afrika Korps crew, and then trailer w/crews...

Just you wait, John! There's some possibility, I should think, for oh, about 10 theater version kits of this one - and then there will be an "early production with the original Flakvisier 36", and the series shall get rejuvenated for another 5 or so! And don't forget, when all else fails, that there eventually be a "Premium" kit...

I just know that there was some sort of remote-controlled mount or set-up for this one...

I'm not sure lol. Also unsure what any cynicism is about.. It's not like there's an existing stand-alone 3.7cm flak 36 or 18 either. It is indeed German.. And so, many are excited about this kit and any future Luftwaffe ground units would also will sell like crazy. And just look at that beautiful Volstad art!

Well, this one will certainly put the Tamiya kit (which I also have) in the trash bin!
