"Going Whole Hog" or "The Donald Trump"

This Campaign would be of any kit,any scale, any genere that is fully loaded to the max with any extra aftermarket, conversions scratch building, that you put alot of $ into to acheive the ultimate end goal you want with the purchasing of all the bells and whistles and or time for the kit you choose. Like a kit that breaks the bank.

Ex. Tamiya Cromwell, Legends hessian aftermarket, Formations wheels, Barel depot barrel Ultra cast crew members, fruil tracks, eduard PE. Archer Transfers, Dioramas plus Dio Base.

I understand this is normal for some builders, but for most that is alot. But was just think this would a cool GB to max out fully a kit, and learn and see some techniques form the others who participate in the Campaign. Timeline would be 12 months starting say Aug 13-Aug 14, or Dec 13-Dec 14.

I was trying to make a funny ribbon but dont have a good program, and not much goofy clip art for crazy Trump with like some money around him.

What do you all think, opinions and or changes are welcomed.

Hi Eugene,
you mean like this:-

I havenŽt got the Diehl tracks yet and a crew is also needed.
I have just run out of camo ntting so IŽll need to sort that too, one thing I shall avoid is PE I hat the stuff
So IŽll take part for sure

Oh yeh, I like the "piggy bank"

Yes paul,

Exactly, just having a kit you got a whole bunch of stuff for. I thought it would be a pretty fun I dea but I am guessing not. by the amount of comments. Thanks for your input.

Eugene I am an OOB builder and have never purchased any aftermarket items for my kits. I have used AM if it was included with the kit when I got it and I have added items like extra storage or figures to a build that didn't come with the original kit. So with that said I do have some kits in the stash that have some AM PE with them that I plan to use when I do build them So my question is how much $$$ would qualify to make a kit be considered going "Whole Hog"

hey sal.

what ever you deem you think is whole hog to you. Since you prefer oob. getting a certain amount of AM and extras may be wholehog for you. Personally being new to tanks. I think anything over $ what you got for the kit or just complety getting everythinh himanly possible to change a kit. ya know like turets wheels full interiors engine and along that line.

I like the Idea of a capmaign focuses on going beyond OOB builds but I believe that the idea of "the whole hog" is based too much on opinion, surely people will always find something else you could have added.

Maybe it would be better to set up a rule something along the lines of:

"build a kit with at least 2 AM upgrade/conversion products"

So that there can be no arguement as to weather a build has fullfilled the campaign regulations or not.

Captain that is cool. that is 2 and a possible. I wish I knew how to send this over to Aeroscale and MSW. I know a couple people over there would be intrested fo sure. I think I will add what tristian suggest is that there be a minimum of AM addons to consider it whole hog, more are definetaly welcomed but whole hog for some may not be that. So look for a change in criteria here on bit.

I think it's a great idea and a catchy title too BUT... I am all filled up with Campaign obligations for some time.

Unless this starts at the end of 2014.

OK all how does this sound, for the campaign requirement be of at least 3 Aftermarket items, not including decals, of you choice to be added to your kit, IE Barrel ,Conversions, turrets, Cockpits for the aircraft guys, guns and, aircraft, superstructers for the ship dudes amd so on,and such more is encouraged, but say a minnimum of 3 Aftermarket selections.

Sounds ok to me, just one question though.
Does an an aftermarket crew count, I donŽt mean each crewman
just the set?

That would be like this:-
Turret, Barrel, Crew, etc......

Hey Paul

I was thinking more the actual build of the kit, but doing a lot of reading around here and such seems a lot of kits don't need to much stuff, so yeah that is. Cool, pass the word.

Eugene,

One of those Premium Dragon kits that already have PE, metal gun barrels and some Magic Tracks .. are they ok ?

Are you dropping this proposal already ?

Still plenty of time until 2014..

John

I would say no because it is included in the kit any 3 items or more outside of what is in the kit. What do you think. Not totally giving up yet, just thought there would be a little more interest, Ill let it go still.

Maybe interested, it depends on how much time I have. 12 months helps out, and I haven't gone this crazy with a kit yet.

*will go with either Italeri's 1/34 SdKfz 234/1 or Tamiya's 1/35 Matilda Mk. II.

IMHO, it's have to be mid-next year and run a year. (9-10 mo min)
