Hi all,

Here is the T-80UD from Dragon that I built 3 years ago, and the figure is from TANK that I painted for one of my friend.

I did several adjustments:

Dragon's kit didn't provided the optical sight on the commander’s cupola, I used AB putty and ABS cards to create one myself.

The original suspension was too high; I lowered them by cutting the torsion bars and adjusted them to the appropriate position.

The original smoke launchers were replaced by resin kits.

Some of you who built the same kit before would know that the plastic tracks were too tight and appear unrealistic, so I cut these tracks into pieces then glue them together to made the tracks look natural.

I used PE to replace all the hooks on the back of the upper hull.

Cast texture was added on the turret, and the wires on the turret was made of copper.

And the xact t-80u was shipped to me from HK 2 weeks ago, I'm looking forward to it~

Great build with this old dog !
I guess that you'll notice a huge difference in the quality with the Xact kit. Feel free to share your feelings about it.

The detail, especially in the rear hull, looks a little clunky, but I like what you did with the finish.

Please do share your insights once you get a chance to review the Xact kit.

Having built this same kit some years ago, I know just how much work you have invested to make this model as good as you have. Excellent modelling skills.
