Pls., do clear your glasses! (No meaning to offend!) The text states 1940 - 1945. Have a better look at the fonts.

I am hoping that there will come more road signs from the ETO very soon. I can remember a modeling cie, which printed some advertisements signs on a thick layer with a glossy appereance. Are these signs (semi) gloss as well?

Paul it muist be the font as it still looks like 1910 - 1915 but I will take your word for it. Getting old is a pig.

Well, then there is something wrong with my eyes too because I read 1910-1915 too until you said it was 40-45. Seem like a bad choice of font to me...

They just use a type of font which was rather widely used in the 1940-ies!

Has anyone an idea if these signs are (semi)gloss? And how can they be used? Are they decals or printed on carton?
At least: they look good and should be the start of a wider range of civil road signs, other than the, mostly military origin, Verlinden ones we know for ages now.

If you go to their website it says based on standards from 1939.

I have corrected the news story and Paul is 100% correct, it is just a font that does not show 4 quite so well.
