Nice work, Neil! Camo on your soldiers looks amazin', too!!

How did the Quads, trailers and figures go together?

Can't wait ta see these in a dio! Silly question: would these only be used on a Forward Operating Base or would they be seen outside the wire? Basically, how would they be employed in theater?

And if I can ask another silly question: how did you approach painting the uniform camo?

I've got the Jackal and Coyote kits and plan to jump into them in a couple of months...

Thanks for posting.

With Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.

Hi Johny and thanks for the kind words.
The kit went together a dream , all fitted well with no dramas at all and the figures were the same.
The quads are used both in the FOB,s and outside of the wire to carry extra munitions and food and water to the guys on the ground sadly they are also used to carry the wounded as well , either to a LZ for air lift or back to the FOB.
The figures were given a base coat of Tamiya Buff as a primer and then coated all over with Vallejo 112 Yellow Green - then using Vallejo 082 Olive green in small swirls around the body and helmet - then Tamiya XF52 Flat Earth in the same way - then Tamiya XF68 in small stick like shapes finishing of with Tamiya XF55 Deck Tan for small spots and lines. I have tried to replicate UK MTP (Multicam) uniforms.
Once again many thanks
Neil

Great job of paint.

There is a scary narrative about a Taliban attack on this quad in the book "Fire Strike 7/9" by Paul Grahame.

The quad was in a convoy but he moves away from the convoy for a few minutes because the crew loses the picture of the other vehicles.

Many thanks Tom , the stowage is a resin set done for the quads which I found on EBAY while doing a search on Airfix quads.
