From the perspective of my project on a Leopard 2 A6 CAN I need some informations. I would know what colors I must use for a my fig. It's a fig from Djiti and my Leo is one of the first used in Afghanistan whitout the Barracuda:

http://djiti.production.free.fr/35035.htm

I think use certain objects fit a dedicated kit for the Mexas from Legend Productions.

I'd too which objects I can put in a Leo (anachronism, not used etc) and what colors used for this set. For convenience, I made a small image attached linked to the list below:

1: Jacket: usable and what camo?
2: Bag: military equipment, or Personal to tankers? Shades?
3 above dito
4: large bag, dito above
5: bed, colors?
6: can of water colors?
7 Canvas? usableand colors?
8: flashy blue or orange or red with white top, that will make a splash of color
9 rations? colorss?
10: rations? colors?
11: little case? colors?
12: binoculars? colors?
13 cans of fuel, color?
14: ammo for the tank commander'machine gun? colors?

If you have pictures too!

I hope you can help me, thank you in advance!

The link to the Canadian site is a gold mine! I don't know if this expression exists in English!

Thank you very much !! :|

Glad to help. Yes, that is the correct pattern. CADPAT-AR, or Canadian Army Disruptive PATtern - Arid Region.

Painting it... try here:

Not sure about the ration boxes. Canadians use a different meal titled IMP's, not MRE's. I was never in Afghanistan, so I'm not sure if the the Canucks were issued MRE's.
The meals come in a case, with 10 or 12 meals per case. Each meal is square shaped, about the size of a small kids lunch box.

I second to Bill. Will help me too.

A bit off topic - but having the experts around - allow me to repeat a question I asked fruitlessly in another thread: Does anyone know, whether canadian tanker gear, particularly uniform, flak vest, backpack, helmet and so on, are used my other nations, particularly USA and Germany too. I ask as there are no canadian tanker figures in scale 1/72 around and I will have to convert other figures and want to do so with minimal effort and maximal precision.

Cheers Michael

The camouflage used by the canadian army for desert operations is the CADPAT AR (Arid Region) and you can use it for jackets, pants and gear. The CADPAT (Arid Regions) Camouflage Pattern has been developped by the Canadian Military Forces and approved for production in 2002. It was progressively introduced to canadian soldiers deployed in Afghanistan for the Immediate Reaction Force by the end of 2002. The Desert (Arid Regions) variation of the Canadian Disruptive Pattern Digital Camouflage is based on the Pixelization of Three-Color (Brown, Light-Brown & Dark-Brown) and it is primarly designed for Desert, Near-Desert and Savannah Environments. This computer-generated pattern creates a "Dithering Effect" by using small pixels to eliminate hard boundaries between distinct colours and incorporates Low-Contrast Near Infrared Protection designed to counter Night-Vision & Detection devices. Currently in use by the Canadian Army, Navy, Air Forces and Security Forces (Variations of this camouflage are in use in many International Military Forces - ACU, MARPAT Desert, US4CES and many others). I buy all my camouflage uniforms at Royal Military Surplus online store (This is the best in Canada). You can check the 2 CADPAT sections (Arid & Temperate Woodland) and you will find a ton of information for all canadian gear and camouflage patterns (You can see all the gear they use for the colors and the pattern). Here are the links:

Good luck with your project!
