I just found this from Black dogs facebook site, it looks like they will release a Fire rescue Oshkosh conversion kit in 1/35 scale....
It looks really cool....

Very impressive conversion! Hopefully, the new M1120 HEMTT-LHS
kit has most of the HEMTT`s flaws ironed out.

not to revive a dead horse, but I actually was able to pick one of these up from LotsofModels.com for under 70$$$ ..... and holy wow is there alot of resin in this kit.... this is going to be a challenge like no other kit I have ever built... the body is NOT one solid block of resin, its in like 20 pieces to make it !

The Italeri one doesn't. It is the same old Italeri HEMTT with the LHS parts and new tires. It is OK, but not great. I would get the Trumpeter M983 and stretch the chassis to use w/this. The Trumpeter kit is excellent.




I saw that LotsofModels had some great sales recently. I picked up a few sets I was looking for too.

I may have bit off more than I can chew with this kit.... since there are really NO instructions, just images of the finished naked kit its going to be some kind of challenge!
I did get the corrected wheel set..... Sir do you think the chassis from the Trumpy kit will mate with the italeri cab and engine area or is this gonna require major surgery to get right unless I just use the Italeri kit >?

The Trumpeter and Italeri kits are pretty close and can swap pieces easily. I did just that when I built my M983A2 and M1074 PLS. I used the Italeri M1120 LHS parts on a lengthened Trump frame and other parts for the M1074. Then I used the Trump M983 parts on a shortened Italeri frame, cab, etc. to build the M983A2.

I would use as much of the Trumpeter kit as possible as it is much better detailed than the Italeri kit. I wouldn't even get the Italeri kit if I was building it.

I wish the new Trumpeter M1120 LHS would make it to the market sooner rather than later, like yesterday!
