Hi there
Any of you treadheads know what mark of Crusader tank were issued to the Free French Flying Column?
Even better...any pics or links to share.
I seem to recall that they may have been of the Mk II variety.
What unit / corps / arm used them? Ie Chars or Spahi.
Just thinking of uniform corps distinctions to add a touch of colour.
Thanks in advance

Looks like these were Mk II's indeed...

They were used by the "1ère Compagnie de Chars de Combat" first in the Free French Flying Column, and later in the "Force L" a.k.a. "Leclerc Column".

At least two of the pictures on the quoted site are of Mark III's with the 6 pounder. Flat turret front with a thick barrel is a Mark III.
