Are there any etch sets available for this kit?

The kit should come with a sheet of PE. Otherwise try ABER. They make a nice PE Set for the M4.

The kit itself gives you a fair amount of etch. Voyager, Eduard, almost everyone makes a Sherman photo-etch set if you need more.

Is there a particular detail you want in etch that the kit doesn't provide?

I checked my usual sources, but didn't come up with anything. I will be building it as a swimming Sherman seen at Normandy.

So I'm assuming you have the wading gear from Tank Workshop or someone else.

Is there a photo-etch detail you're trying to locate that isn't included with the kit?

Do you mean one with a deep wading kit as the M4 was converted for use as a Duplex Drive swimming version?

In my experience. most of the PERR sets out there are pretty generic and tend to fit most kits without problems. Tool brackets, headlight guards etc aren't going to give you an issue. The only problem would be parts like sand shields due to kit hull variances in size - but that won't be an issue as you won't be fitting those

I haven't decided which wading kit to use. It will depend on which one requires less work on the tank. The Voyager set won't do much good, as I won't be using the Culinary or sand shields. I already have Verlinden's super detail set. I'm liking the look of the TWS wading set.

So again... why are you looking for an etch set? The kit already comes with the most useful pieces, and you're saying you don't need the fenders or hedgerow cutter.

Apologies. I was wanting to know if I needed one. I I should have been more specific.
