If you're going to add an interior, wouldn't it have been better to get the cast turret version with details for that area already included?

Hi Timothy,

A common misconception about these two Meng kits is that the riveted turret version does not include an interior. That is actually not entirely correct. Both kits have interiors for the fighting compartment and turret, the difference is that the kit of the riveted turret version does not include the engine compartment/engine.

Daniel, great work so far. Very nice to see the extra work you are putting into the detailing.

I just started this kit myself and so far.....I like it. But I am spoiled by putting mostly Tamiya kits available. I have found some of the assembly overly time consuming and the instructions somewhat difficult to follow. Nonetheless I am determined to finish it and looking forward to the paint job. IIRC he adding the latch for keep the driver's hatch shut and the crank to start the engine..

Hey Daniel!

Fantastic work, lovely painting and weathering.

I'm afraid I have to correct myself a little in my previous statement (as quoted below), just discovered that only some of the fighting part interior parts are included in the second kit. the driving compartment and turret interiors are complete, but I believe the rear part of the fighting compartment is missing the ammunition racks and some other bits. Daniel, sorry for hijacking your thread, just wanted to correct this so I did not misslead anyone.

From what I've heard it seems Meng did not include any of the separate parts for the fighting sort of compartment, but the interior walls already have quite a lot of detail already moulded in.
