Dragon is combing their excellent Pz IV and Panther Ausf F kits to give us a proposed modification for the last year of the war. The turret from the Panther is placed on an Ausf H chassis.

That's actually an Ausf J chassis--note the missing muffler for the APU, just left of the exhausts. In any case, this paper panzer was drawn up essentially to show it was not feasible. I'm not planning to buy one.

Why don't they release Sherman and T34 variants any more? Or a Berhepanther.

Another one for the World of Tanks players I suspect. Accuracy and or feasibility not required. If you want unkitted "real" vehicles and hard to get vehicles that were actually used en-masse, you need to look to ICM, Miniart, Masterbox and the other East European manufacturers. DML are going the same way as Tamiya.

I think you mean they are going the same way as Games Workshop. Tamiya is just doing what their Japanese fanbase (which is huge) wants them to do.

They could've used another angle to make this ... thing... look a bit less ugly.

There's a reason some of the World of Tanks players refer to it as the "Panzer IV mit Lolturm"...
