Has anyone had any experience with the SOL 1/16 Sherman easy eight resin kit? I know it is pricey and am wondering if it is worth the bucks. Have done the trumpeter king tiger and t 34/85 I really need a good Sherman to go with them

I have no personal experience but wouldn't the Tamiya 1/16 M4 (105) HVSS Sherman or Heng Long and Dragon 1/16 M4A3 (105) VVS Shermans be a better starting points? They're not resin and upgrade parts are relatively easy to find. I bet cheaper too!

Dragon doesn't make a 1/16 Sherman - it's actually 1/6th scale.

I bought the SOL M4A3E8 several years ago on E-Bay. I have started several times to tackle this beast. The pour blocks are massive and the fit is poor. The detail is not up to Tamiya standards but if you want a platform to superdetail, this might be for you.

Now you give me some food for thought..would be nice if trumpeter came out with one along the lines of their t34 /kingtiger series
thanx William
