You really did a beautiful job on this Marder. The care you took with the camoflage really sets it off.

Cheers,

Awesome all-round! Love the camo, and the paintwear in the fighting compartment.

Great job with the build and paintwork! Did you model it after a specific vehicle? If I were to offer one suggestion, it would be to add 2-3 personal items (helmet, canteen, mess kit, sidearm...) to give it a more "lived-in" appearance.

Awesome! I can not even imagine how long it must of taken to freehand that camo pattern. The end results are well worth it.

One question: I have always wondered what the large cylinder with the tuba type top to the right of the breech on the rear of the gun shield was. I always thought it may have been a storage tube for the gun sight??

Thanks for the kind words everyone, makes the effort worth it!

@ Kevin - Yes, it is a specific vehicle from Sicily, I have to see if I can dig up the picture, it is also the one depicted on the box art. I agree it needs a bit of personal kit to look more 'lived in', I will have to add some.

@Josh - it took about 4.5 hours to freehand the camo, I looked like a hunchback when I was done. Good question on that storage case - I'll have to look it up.

Josh, that tube with the flared top contained a demolition charge to destroy the gun tube should the weapon need to be abandoned. The tube contained the explosive charge and the flared bit contained the cord for firing the charge. The sight was stored in another tube on the shield beneath the sight mount.
