What is the correct color to paint the interior of a Panzer 3 or any other WW2 German tank for that matter? I was thinking white, as that's what you see on a lot of model kits and it makes sense. However, I've seen a couple websites that say white tinted with yellow is the most accurate. Which color is most accurate?

The color quoted in books is most often 'buff'. It's a creamy white with elements of yellow and tan.

Best wishes,

Thanks to both of you! It's nice to know my research was more accurate than a couple big-name model kit producers.

It's called Elfenbein. David Byrden's website has a page of info on interior colours and note that the interior was not all painted the same colour and that the scheme evolved over time.

Another name is "Ivory" or off-white, not pure white

The official name is RAL 1015 Elfenbein, or in English, Ivory. Many manufacturers do the specific color, so no need to guess. Lifecolor and Ammo make what I consider the best color, and great paint. As said, check references, as coverage changed several times.
