Great news! By the kit number I optimistically assume it is their own mold. Hopefully they will also release M36 later!

Great news, should provide quite an alternative to the Academy kits. I'm looking forward to seeing the 3D CAD images.

Hasn't anybody a clue of what kit they're releasing this May? I believe it was supposed to have been the new Ferrari but that's been delayed to June. Thus, the list of products for May in ther website is empty in terms of new tools. Perhaps they have a surprise at Shizuoka next month?

I though the AMX-13/75 was supposed to be their new tool release for May.

Tamiya will release 1/35 M10 (Mid Production) #35350 in June

Does anyone know if this kit will be a "re-box" of an existing kit, or will it be an entirely new effort? Both ACADEMY and AFV CLUB market 1/35 M10s, and we all know that TAMIYA isn't shy about re-boxing older kits made by manufacturers other than themselves...

Did Tamoya ever rebox Academy or AFV Club kits before?

If the product #35XXX is correct, then it should be their own mold.

If the kit number starts with 35, then it's a true Tamiya kit.

From the blog posting, they identified another release as a rebox of an Italeri kit. This kit doesn't have that note. Since I started on the new M4A3E8, I have been hoping they would go after the M10, as well as other M4 variants.

I really hope this will be a new tool and that they get it right. I just finished up the newest tool Academy kit and it was not all that

The best news for kit release I've heard for a while. Would like to see how they handle the ammo storage part of the kit.

Is the barrel to be in halves or is that just a moulding seam on the part?

I hope the trend of Tamiya updating the Golden Moldies continues. There is a place for well detailed (but not super detailed) kits that are easy to build. I hope they re-make the M3 Lee/Grant kits, 25 pdr, SAS jeep, LRDG truck, and others.

Not to my knowledge; I wouldn't put it past them, but Jesse and a few other contributors say that a 35XXX number would make this new M10 a newly-tooled TAMIYA product. I'm inclined to agree with that.

Russ: HEAR, HEAR, regarding other versions of newly-tooled M4-series Mediums, a brand new series of corrected (NOT RE-BOXES of the OLD kits!) M3/M3A1 Honey/Stuarts, M3 Lee/Grants, and an M8 75mm HMC. Also, a brand-new M46 and M47 Patton-series, a Dodge WC-54 Ambulance, (NO RE-BOXES of the old ITALERI/TESTORS WC-54), and a Mack No.7...

It's a raised line, signs point to it to be a moulding seam or perhaps an actual detail on some M10's. Either way, the three figures included with the kit look great.

I've been reminded that Tamiya released a M10 in 1/48th scale years before this new kit, a glimmer of hope for fans that particular American staff car.

The image has been post above, i believe its 100% new tool. The VVSS suspension has three bolt detail underneath which previous kit is missing, and cast number of course.
