Takom has released new photos of their upcoming King Tiger with more details of the interior. It looks to have Zimmerit molded in place and Takom has revealed that there will actually be two kits released. The exact quote is "2045 features turret with standard zimmerit application, and 2047 has the zimmerit panels removed from the turret sides for special Pz.Abt.505 markings".

I love everything but the Zimmerit. It looks too big and too uniformly neat.

Looks very promising. Want to hear what David Byrden has to say before plunking down cash for it.

What would I know about a Tiger B? It's not a Tiger E!

OK, maybe I could comment on the engine...

There are few unbiased commenters out there, so anything you can add would be a help.

At first it looks like a great kit. They could do a better job with tracks, it would be lovely if they will be workable! It will save us lot of time with painting, weathering and fitting them.

Guess it's best to wait until the plastic is in hand before making any judgments but it certainly is looking promising. Some items on those sprues show they have been paying attention. It is looking much better than Trumpeter's 1/16 effort but then it should be, given the amount of information now available.

Anybody thinking about doing a cut away version when they get theirs ? The concept of scale thickness deserves to be shown off along with all the goodies inside.

It's not quite free.. their usual kits run around $43 (in HK), and these will go for around $53.. so, you can say you're getting the interior for $10, I guess

It looks like the prices are close.. whether you buy from HK and add shipping, or if you buy from stores in the States.

How much shipping does DragonUSA charge inside the States, or do they offer free shipping in the contiguous States?

For me,standard ground shipping would be $7.62 or free shipping over $100.00 + I earn Dragon Dollars toward next purchase.
But I will wait for reviews and compare it with the upcoming Meng release
