Still OD Green during the Korean War. The darker, semi-gloss green wasn't used until the late '50s.

Actually, semi gloss OD was introduced immediately after World War Two. Same pigments, but it "read" darker than flat No. 9 Olive Drab. Tanks awaiting shipment to Korea from rebuild facilities in Japan had a noticeable shine, though dust and dirt would mute that in the field.
In the fifties and sixties, some commanding generals ordered that black be added to OD, simply because they liked the look. The amount varied, unit to unit.
