Thanks to one of the members here,Wayne, I got ahold of the old Tamiya M3A2 kit with 9 figures.
Thanks again Wayne.It's great that everyone here is willing to help someone else out.
Didn't realize at first these never made it into production.
Had to make it a M3A1.Had to cut off the ladders on the sides,loose the baggage racks and cut a piece off the gun turret.
Back in those days Tamiya didn't have the best instructions.
Most came together well.There are 2 radio sets that don't show were they are placed.One just seems to be a backpack.Also there is a trailer in the pics.I saw this being used with this kit.Would that be correct ?

Hello Tom, I finally found your pictures you posted. This was right when I left for a rendezvous on my B'Day weekend. Then the monday after I got back was when my friend died, so I missed these completely. Looks like it's coming along nicely, hope the painting he had done didn't hurt anything. Hope to see the completed 'track soon. Wayne

Would that be correct ?

Why not ?

Even though this 1/4-ton trailer was usually towed by jeeps...

progress looks good; looking forward to the finished project; I like the look of a WW2 half-track (US, German, etc.);

these old kits are dated but they still build up nicely; I got the old Tamiya M21 Mortar Carrier and Tamiya Hanomag at a contest for about $10 or so each; I have other older kits in my stash as I model on a budget, even an old Emhar "Male" WW1 tank I got for $10 at another contest; happy modeling

Looking good Tom, I converted mine for the Halftrack campaign back in 2012. I remember taking the ladders off was a real pain.

Yes,the ladders were a pain.
Wayne,the started paint was no problem,just a little wrong.Sorry to here about your friend.
Wasn't sure about the trailer,but I guess they didn't change much from WW2.
As I mentioned to Wayne ,I found another at a show here a couple of weeks ago.First I couldn't find any and then now I have 2.Slim chances of that.Everything still packaged,but no instuctions.Thanks to Wayne that was not a problem for me.
The half track in the background of the first photos is Dragon.No figures ,but the driver,so the 2nd kit will help fill that.Worth the $20 right there.
Got the figures in place,exept for the radio operater.Will use him on the Dragon.
