This maybe more of a "what if" but American units in the ETO did put aside gun tubes for this conversion so I thought why not? Tamiya M4A3 with a Dragon Aluminum gun tube, Value Gear stowage and some sundries from the parts box.

3rd Army made a few of these until it became clear that there would be good stocks of the standard M4A3 (76). Postwar some of these were made by the Tokyo Depot in Japan although it is unclear if any were ever deployed to Korea.

And of course this variant is famous as the model of Sherman that played Oddball's tanks in Kelly's Heroes. The paper designation for the post war conversion is M4A3E4. A number were exported as well as serving in reserve units along side M4A1E6 and M4A1E9.
