I'm looking forward to following this too. Canadian Leopards are, naturally, among my favourite AFVs.

Great start to the build, there are issues with the kit, I put together a tweak list to fix them,if you need it send me a message and will help you out.

If you need any photos/reference just ask and will help you out.

Cheers

Well folks,

Here we go.....

I started to clean up the inside of the lower hull in preparation for the resin floor, firewall and rear hull wall. Now the PSM kit was not made for the Takom kit. However, the floors are about 1mm in total then the inside of hull. So narrowing the parts won't take much....

Looking forward to your progress on this. Some have had a few critical words of this kit but I think overall it seems quite nice.

Yes I have heard there are some things wrong with the kit. But I have been provided with the corrections list, so I will be correcting as I go...

Evening all,

Well the floors have been narrowed and fitted. They are not glued in as of yet. I will need to add wiring and some plumbing....

Nice project. I need to grab me few of the Leopard Workshop items. May I ask, how long the shipping took to your place from the time you placed the order? TIA

Hello Mike,

I bought my Leo Workshop from a local supplier. Trackjam Models here in Canada. The owner is great to deal with and shipping was quick. I am not to sure what supplier you can order from in the U.S.

M&Models and Hard Target Models stock Leo Workshop in the States.
Order direct from Leopard Workshop and you will get them within a week.

Mike,
Head on over to Hard Target. Jack, Hard Target's owner, is a good guy - order with confidence besides, he is having a 25% off sale. I ordered some LW products this morning and they are on the way by 3:00PM with 2 day shipping.

I'm sure that was tricky work getting the engine bay cover off. Is there a lip that it rests on in real life?

Hello,

Yes there is a lip with a rubber seal that goes around the opening. The PSM kit gives you this in photoetch.
