Can someone suggest a mix of Tamiya paints to use to create a close match to RAL6014 GELBOLIV? I'm aware Mig-Ammo and ModelMaster offer this color, but I prefer to work with Tamiya if possible.

Thanks!!

Have you tried XF-51 and try adding a drop of XF-60 should give you a close match to Olive Yellow.

This mix worked very well for me.

Two parts Tamiya XF-51 Khaki Drab
One part Tamiya XF-74 JGSDF Olive Drab
Half part Tamiya XF-57 Buff

Hi Jason,

What color did you use for the wood part of the tools?

Thanks in advance,
Angel

Oliv-Gelb was in use basically from 1956-1984/85 and depending when a vehicle was rebuilt or repainted maybe even longer.

I was stationed in West Germany and saw Leopard 2's and Marders at the Wildflecken Training Area in 1984 and 1985 that were in Oliv-Gelb.

The unit I belonged to started to receive new HUMMV's that were finished in NATO Tri Color in 1985 (issued from Mainz Army Depot), so I think the Bundeswehr might have started using that scheme around the same time....NATO Tri Color was a German idea, IIRC.

Gepards were in service from 1976 until 2009/2010, so you're OK doing one in Oliv-Gelb.

Hope this helps.
