Hello Guys
I'm new here and I'm also new at AFV modelling
I'm Currently making a 1/48 Tamiya Sherman Firefly 1c and I only used Tamiya TS spray can because I don't have airbrush atm
I'm kinda confused about which color to use because there are 5 options for me :
1. TS-2 Dark Green
2. TS-5 Olive Drab
3. TS-28 Olive Drab 2
4. TS-61 NATO Green
5. TS-70 Olive Drab JSDF

Could you guys tell me which color fits best for the Firefly?
Because the instruction said TS-2 but I saw some Firefly were painted Olive Drab
Any suggestion would be Appreciated
Thanks

Hello bro, I suggest you to attach several photos of your in-process kit since it can help any fellow modelers in this forum by getting preview on how far your work and give you some advice. Hope it useful bro, good luck!

Cheers,

I almost forget to suggest you one more important thing: you may introduce yourself in "Introduction" forum. The path:

Main (kitmaker) > Introduction

Cheers

Hi Samuel,

I can only offer a partial answer, as I don't use Tamiya spray cans. All Fireflies were painted SCC 15 ("Standard Camouflage Colour 15"), a British copy of US Olive Drab. This was slightly greener than US OD, but only just. So you want to look for a spray that gives pretty much a US Olive Drab result. Bear in mind that once you add a layer or two of dust and dirt, the exact tone of the base colour will not matter too much.

Hopefully others will chime in with the correct TS paint number...

IIRC Olive drab 2 is an "in scale" version of real olive drab.
