A little side project- a quick, easy way to get back into diorama building after an agonizing break. Testing new products, trying new things and techniques. But most importantly, I painted OD green for the first time- with an airbrush too! (That's an accomplishment)

Here's the arsenal-

The base began as flat earth, followed by various hits of AK wet ground, Vallejo muds and environment mixes, pigmentS, washes, highlights and snow.

The base is about half done- a bit more work to do still, some of it will wait until the figures are added. It will end up being a frosty, late fall environment.

The tank- rusted/burned out, dirty. The wood and tarp will be more burned as the process continues, which should be very cool when finished. When all is said and done, I want the tank to look just as wet and cold as the ground.

Lastly, the Vallejo mud/mud and grass mixtures applied underneath. Great looking stuff, a pain to get a picture of.

Finally, these two will stand around on it-

This has been fun so far, more to come!

Thanks for looking.

This is really looking good so far. You really accumulated a vast arsenal of weathering products there.
