Hi, I'm doing a Dragon's Sherman Normandy 75, I choose Abrams's one but his tank was a Baldwin one.
The kit don't come with the vertical rear plate, D shape for antenna and I guess if exist another kit to make the Baldwin version from the box.
TIA

Alvaro,

Try Tiger Model Designs https://tigermodeldesigns.com if not you will have to scratch build it.

Thanks Irvin, they have the Baldwin one and others.

So, as I have some parts glued, I need another base kit for a future project.

Hi Alvaro,

first of all please keep in mind; - Baldwin Locomotive Work produced 1233 EA M4 tanks from Jun 1942 to Jan 1944.

AND ALL had Direct Vision slots!!!!!

I recommend the DRAGON M4 DV, Art. No.:6579!

In addition you have to replace the bow machine gun mount, it was a tube welded in, the antenna pot on the glacis, it was a bend and welded on part, like the Fisher M4A2 with 56 % glacis, not a cast one!
And all Baldwin M4s had three piece FDA = Final Drive Assembly.

I'll post soon the pictures of my Baldwin M4.

I'm now in a hurry; - I have to be in the university in 60 Min.

Regards

Hauke

Here's my take on one, If I recall I did use the Dragon M4 DV kit. The conversion was fairly easy.

Hi Alvaro,

Jim's pictures of his Baldwin M4 DV are outstanding explanation in showing the corrections to implement to show a CORRECT BLW M4!

You can see the corrections he has done by the white colored evergreen profiles quit perfectly!

Jim, your outstanding model of the Baldwin Locomotive Works looks great!!!!!
