Hi Nicolas,

It has not to be understood litteraly!
Just to show the various artillery systems which are now also available for us modelers!
It shows, a.o., the system for which 3D-in-scale made an update set.

I had an accidetal frost effect by spraying thinned Tamiya flat clear. I guess I will try it further. Another problem will be getting appropriate in MultiCam winter fatigues.

Hudson & Allen and Woodland Scenics make snow.

Link for Hudson and Allen snow: http://www.toysoldierbrigade.com/hudson-allen-studios-ha9604-snow/

Woodland Scenics link:

You can experiment first with hairspray and the product to try and get a light dusting of snow.

You will have to mail order the Hudson and Allen products. Micheal's and Hobby Lobby carry Woodland Scenics products. You can also find them (if you can find one) in you local hobby shop.

AFV Modeller magazine #6 has a great article about making snow on a German Leopard. He used micro balloons and acrylic matte medium and it looked great. I used the same method on an old M1 of mine and it too came out pretty cool.

Few things I noted -

Brad was named "Chum Bucket" I love it. Someone please do decals for this one.

Seeing that green camo netting being used more and more. Is that just standard camo net or something just issued?

Noted a few troops with low profile OD green body armor (as compared to the bulky IBA's used by most troops). Looks very similar to what some tankers were issued in DS. Wasn't bulletproof, just designed to protect from spall if your track took a hit. Haven't seen this issued before, is this something new or has the Army always had these vests around?

Any figures out there that have that "new" vest some of those crews are wearing?

It's not going to be exactly the same, but Meng's decal sheets for both their pickup with equipment and pickup with ZPU 23 each have the entire english alphabet in black and white text, with two copies of each letter. I've found them to be pretty useful.

@ John

DML 3020 from Dragon Elite, the "Desert Storm" set has two wearing the chicken vest. The video looks to be the same vest as I wore in the late 90's. It was for the spall of a hit and not must else but to keep your torso in one piece when you got hit. I think that is used on the range and not when out on the two way range then its the IBA.
