watching the movie hacksaw rdige.color USMC unform look "slight darker" green gray color .at same time look like a 'bright" olive green. what's the exact color?

A Sage Green, similar to Vallejo 70886 "Green Gray", is what you want.

Yes. It was green dungarees so with washing and wear the color varied. At times the uniforms were washed on board ship and that meant seawater which would tend to make the green more grey .

While three Marine Divisions (1st, 2nd and 6th) were on Okinawa in April of 1945, the movie Hacksaw Ridge concerns the US Army's 77th Infantry Division....I do not know whether that will assist you in determining a uniform color. Did both services have the same color for their standard field uniform?
