Something that has probably been covered quite a lot I imagine, but I am need of some opinions.

I will be doing Aus Cam on a Sci Fi Vehicle I am doing. I have purchased the AK Aus Cam Range, but feel as if the Black and Tan do not match or come close to the real deal.

I have also purchased (but still waiting) on Mouse house which looks very very close.

The downside to that is I have not worked with Enamel before and it is recommended to use Lacquer Thinner to thin it down for a Airbrush. Has anybody ad any experience on the Ratio mix?

And last of all without MIXING is there any colours that are exact in Acrylic?

Kind regards, Punisher.

Just looked at my AK aussie set which I haven't had a chance to use, and the "Australian Black" looks very blue to my eye.
Mind you, looks like I got a dodgy set, as both the Olive Drab and Tan colours, are both more of a mid stone.
For black, Tamiya NATO black(I forget the code) seems pretty close to what I remember from working around vehicles and equipment, though you might even be able to go a little bit lighter.
Most the vehicles I was around were badly faded, and paint tended to end up with a chalky residue. They didn't get touched up unless there was actual damage and risk of rust on exposed metal.

Go Mouse House - is pretty good looking.

Repainted Bushmaster at AWM

Trial vehicle at Puckapunyal - faded

Mix. I thinned MHE enamels with Humbrol enamel thinners 70:30 - thinners being 30%.

Hope that helps.

Best wishes,
