Hi all,

I've read a few posts, and hope this is the correct way to go about these (I'm new).

I just completed my first campaign (arty) and had a lot of fun. Looking at my stash I find I have a lot of what seems to be "popular" and figured I might propose a Mission to get us all building these things before they get lost on The Bottom of The Pile.

Jeeps! Willys (US, or British), MUTTs, GAZ/UAZs (Da, tovarich), Type 87 VWs/Swimmvagens, or Kübelwagens, (Jawohl!). How about whoever and whatever you want to tow behind, strap on to, or bolt on or in it. Focus on Civil Service, or anything military between WW2, and Viet Nam. To keep it simple, the Jeep must be the focus of the piece--e.g. not a Tiger running over a Jeep.

Static display, vignette, or a diorama. Any manufacturer, and any (and all) AM is allowed and scratchbuilding is allowed and encouraged, of course. Figures are fine. Open to any scale 1/6 and smaller (sorry guys no 1:1 ).

We could run it from April (TBD) '17 through September '17. 5 month build, to let everyone get all of their pieces delivered and whatnot. Typical forum protocol: less than 25% completed upon start of the campaign, post a pic of the kit you intend to build, and at least 2 WIP shots, then post your completed pic/s in the campaign gallery.

Awards will be a custom designed, Jeep-themed campaign ribbon (Looking for a web-ace with this type of experience to help me execute this portion, please and thanks).

Let's do it, what do you say? I need 10 people to start. Who's in?

Yeah, I suppose. Same difference. (I have that DAMN Scwhimmvagen too).

Right now I've got a Tamiya Willys, a Bronco 37mm gun, and a couple of AM PE and stowage kits for my build. I'll pose it as in-country, somewhere in France circa 1944. Trying to find a single figure to add to it to tie it all up.

Hey guys,
I've got a lot on the bench right now. Would it be possible to push out the start date a couple months, maybe June? I've got a jeep, a MUTT, and a GAZ all in the stash so count me in. Also curiosity question, would a MULE be acceptable for this campaign? I know it's not a jeep but it is a small cargo carrier.

I'd push it to May 01, but that's about it. A MULE is a little outside of the Jeep theme. Can't bolt much on one, and their range is...limited at best. FWIW I have one of those with a recoiless in my stash (probably never going to be built unless there's a future MULE campaign for all 3 of us that bought that kit )

Then I'm in with a CMK Typ 87 VW w/the little Eduard PE set. I'll have to check out the wheels and see if they are good or need to be replaced. May look into CMK's VW interior....

Thanks! That's only about 1/3. I've done about 25 so far.

And nice work on the jeepney! One of these days I want to do a early one like what you have plus also a 1960's era with the curved finders and such. I picked up a couple of 50's era 1/32 car cuts thinking I can rob parts from them.
