Fellow modeler's I have looked thru a lot of pages on LCM's here and I am more confused than ever. I have been looking at the 1/35 scale kits by Trumpeter and Italeri. Can someone tell me if one kit is better than the other? I have no knowledge on the LCM so would all advice is appreciated.

From what I've learned, the Italeri kit is more correct, Trumpeter's hull being too deep. I have the Italeri kit, it goes together quite well and is pretty well detailed. But like any kit it can benefit from a few added details here or there. You can probably get a more detailed comparison over on Model Shipwrights.

Hi:

Italeri's kit is better for sure. The too-deep Trumpeter hull is quite apparent. I think Revell's reboxed the Italeri kit. At any rate, I would definitely recommend tracking down the Italeri kit.

Cheers,
