In your opinion what is the easiest way to paint molded uniform details on 1/35 scale German figures? Im talking about lapel insignia, shoulder boards, iron crosses, etc..

My hands shake like crazy when painting small detail.

Would dry transfers or decals be easier?

If your hand shakes, I believe that you should use dry decals. They are more forgiving to a muscle tremor.

Decals for isigna are very detailed and clean.
I find their colours sometimes to vivid, but you can tone them down with a wash after covering them with some matt varnish to protect the decals from te paint.

I ordered some Archer dry transfers, but didn't see 1:35 Eisernes Kreuz in their lineup. Can you provide a decal/dry transfer brand that has Eisernes Kreuz for the breast pocket in 1:35?

I've seen a few, but not in 1:35

If you have a rest for your arm, you probably would not shake so much.

I really like the 2 Tamiya German Uniform decal sets, Water slide which make more sense to me than dry decals which have to be dry rubbed onto wet decal paper (twice the work or more with trimming). Have fun!

This. It may not help if you have finger tremors, not just your hands shaking, but if you have a rest you can set the heel of your hand on, so you're just moving your fingers to move the paintbrush, you can get much cleaner detail than if you've got your whole forearm in the air.

I definitely use water slide decals with Solvaset,I have German and US sets. They tone down nicely with dull coat and weathering.Far better then I could ever hand paint.

Thanks to all for your responses.

I ordered both decals and dry transfers. For such a small ares, the decals were definitely easier to apply than the dry transfers.
