Would the area where the fenders were missing or partially missing on a king tiger be the same color as the rest of the vehicle or would it only be primer? I've seen other people paint this area the same color as the hull, but I wasn't sure if it was correct.

Matthew,

Some pictures from the web appear to show paint under where the fenders were, but it could be the vehicle was repainted without the missing fenders. Other pictures seem to have at least a lighter shade of paint or even primer showing where the fenders were.

Please note that the fenders were removed and the tracks changed to a narrower set for rail transport.

These appear to show zimmerit underneath where the fenders were:

I appreciate your help with this. It appears from your photos, as well as some of the ones I've looked up, that they applied the paint under the fenders. I was curious about that before I painted mine with the fenders off. This makes things a little easier.
