Couldn't seem to find a 'just for fun' forum to put this in, but I thought this was funny as hell. Saw this on my Facebook Feed from a friend, and as he so well puts it, it's the new Sturmgrassenchoppen Panzer! I think it's a Mark IV, but maybe it could be a late model III LOL

The precise German designation is:

Sturmrasenkürzer, Ausführung mit verlängertem Grasauswurf

Way too funny for this forum-- somebody will definitely be sharpshooting the correct designations and periods of use. for instance- was the German lawnmower an early or late version? Even at my advanced age, I still mow my lawn once a week whether it needs it or not. If I had one of these, I'd probably mow it more often! the US "Jeep" is particularly interesting to me, as I still use a push mower.

I would say that this StRnKz. (thanks, Hans-Hermann, great abbreviations) is a prototype - that's not regulation 3-tone NATO camo, and where are the smoke launchers and MG3?

Hey-- I just thought of this, but I bet these things would sell like hotcakes if they appeared in the local Lowe's, Home Depot or Ace Hardware! The next "get rich scheme"?

It would be really cool if the cut grass was somehow funneled up and then expelled thru the barrel.

That is a Bundeswehr peacekeeping vehicle from KFOR, the Germans figured out that the real problem was that the Serbs and Croats had different ideas about the height their lawns should be so being Germans they standardized it.

If you run such a "thing" here in Germany, your "friendly" neighbors would immediatly call the police.

Some of these reminds a little bit of the Home Improvement TV show.
