I am in the process of building a 1/72nd M1a1 Abrams tank with the Bill the cat logo on its turret.I will be also be scratch building a full interior as well.
So with this in mind,I would like to know what are the type of tank tracks were used on this particular vehicle?

T156 tracks
T158 tracks
T158L tracks

I too will be scratch build them as well,so any info would be greatly appreciated.I also have tried to get any info on google and pinterest but not much luck.
Thank you.

"Bill the cat" Abrams is a M1IP not a A1 so it would have T156 tracks especially given the time period

To add to Bill's response, T156 tracks were used on the original M1s, M1IPs, M1E1s and early M1A1s. T158 tracks were used on M1A1s. T158LL tracks were used on late M1A1s and all versions of M1A2 (M1A2, M1A2 SEP, M1A2 SEP v2).

The Esci/Italeri and Hasegawa 1/72 M1 kit both had the T156 track so could serve as a template.

Early M1A2 initially had T158 tracks. T158LL tracks appeared as standard with SEP version and since then started to replace T158 for all in-service variants.

As others already wrote: Bill the Cat was IPM1, not M1A1, and had T156 tracks.
