Just wanted to make everyone on this forum aware that Tru-Color Paint will be in attendance at the IPMS National Convention being held in Phoenix, AZ on August 1-4, 2018. This will be the first time we are in attendance at a National and we look forward to the experience ! We will have the ENTIRE Tru-Color Paint product line there for U.S. Naval ships from WW2 to date, Japanese Naval ships for WW2 and samples of some colors for Kreigsmarine for WW2. We will also have every color we have for U.S. land forces - armor, vehicles, uniforms, etc; and U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force colors for planes from WW1 to modern times. A sampling of our generic and detail colors will also be on display and for sale.

We will have 4 tables jammed with all of our paint for sale. Models using our paint will also be on display. If you plan to attend the IMPS National, drop by our tables and say hello, pick up some paint and flyers. Maybe you have an idea for a color or colors we should have in our product line - bring that up now or at the convention ! Masking paper in 3 and 10 packs will also be available.

If you want anything specific (like 2 or 16 oz. of any color) brought for you, let us know by responding to this thread, calling or emailing us. We will be happy to accommodate any special order. Looking forward to hearing from you.

We have taken all the comments about our website into consideration and have modified all the military pages in the following manner.

1) Color chips for all of the paints have been added to their appropriate category. That is all the U.S. Naval colors have been added to the Naval page, Armor Colors to the armor page and Aircraft colors to the Aircraft page. As we add more countries colors we will update the website accordingly.

2) Color chips and information on popular generic colors, solvents (thinner and retarder), finishes (clear flat and clear gloss) and paint useful for figures and dioramas are shown on 2 pages added to each military paint section - armor, aircraft and naval. It makes it easier for the modeler to find white, black, red, etc.

3) In the Naval page there is a reference table showing the Camouflage Measures of the U.S. Navy with the Correct Tru-Color Paint stock number for that paint and time frame. All of the Grays, Blues, Anti-Fouling Red and Deck colors are represented. We could not find a similar table for the Greens and Browns used on ships in the Pacific.

4) The order forms will stay as we feel this is more secure than having a shopping cart where the credit/debit card info might be compromised by hackers. Since we invoice via Paypal (a very secure platform) just the email address is needed for billing purposes.

We believe this covers the majority of the comments regarding our website. If there is anything else we should address, please reply to this thread.

Looking forward to meeting with all the modelers at the IPMS National Convention in Phoenix, AZ on August 1-4, 2018 at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Convention Update; Tru-Color Paint will have mock-up displays of proposed military sets at the convention. Among the potential sets are 3-4 for U.S. Armor, 1 for Israeli armor, 4-6 for U.S. aircraft from 1920's to modern jets and 4-6 sets for U.S. Navy ships concentrated around the myriad of WWII camouflage colors, 2 for the Imperial Japanese Navy, etc.

By the end of March we will have a poll (or survey) on our website as to which of these sets should be placed into production. If we get enough feedback in time we might even be able to get 4-6 of the sets completed for the convention for sale.

Personally I am leaning toward 3 of the U.S. Armor sets - Olive Drab Set from 1930-1952, MERDC colors and NATO colors; 2 of the U.S. Air Force sets - the Southeast Asia Camouflage colors and Modern F-22 and F-35 anti-radar paint; and finally the U.S. Navy Pre-WWII colors used on battleships and aircraft carriers (which would be the ship colors in Pearl Harbor).

If you want a preview of our proposed military set list, call, respond to this thread or email us for a word file describing the sets.
