Tru-Color Paint is in the planning stages of developing military paint sets for the modeler. We have about 30 potential sets we could assemble on the drawing board and have produced mock-up art work for all the sets. Our intent is to release 4-6 of these sets at the IPMS National Convention in August of this year. We are requesting the modeler's input as to which of these sets YOU would like to see.

There will be a poll (or survey) on our website by the end of March showing all of the proposed sets with their composition. We will let you know when the poll is posted on the website so you can vote on the sets we should produce. All military and related areas will be represented - armor, air forces, ships, diorama, figures and detailing and covers the U.S. and Israeli paints (these are the colors currently produced and ready to place into the sets).

If you wish to get a jump start on the survey, we can email you a Acrobat file of the description of each set along with their contents. Just let us know if this is wanted by email, this thread or call us.

How many manufacturer's request YOUR input on what they should place into production ? Tru-Color Paint listens to our customers and want to be your go to company for accurate, easy to use paint for your models, dioramas, figures, etc.

All comments are welcome. Come see us at the IPMS National Convention on August 1-4 in Phoenix, AZ !

I agree. I had to mix a Coyote Brown color, last night, for some MOLLE gear. I think US uniforms and gear colors 1980s to present would be very useful to many of us. That ALICE gear green can be tricky, too.

This is an interesting thread that I started. We did not realize there was a large need for uniform colors for the U.S. and other countries. Thought these were well covered by other manufacturers products. We will have to take another look at that area.

As for some of the sets being planned, they include the MERDC and NATO armor sets, an OD set and an Israeli armor set plus sets for SEA camo for aircraft, U.S. WWII aircraft colors - the ANA colors, modern U.S. Aircraft, etc.

We will have more details on our website of the proposed sets by the end of March.

A Japanese armor color set. A Japanese aircraft color set both Navy and Army. A chipping medium to use with your paint to include in the aircraft color sets. Include interior color for cotpits and wheel wells.

As mentioned in another thread on this forum, the survey of what initial 6 sets we should manufacture and have available for the IPMS National Convention to be held August 1-4 in Phoenix, AZ has gone LIVE on our website.

ANYONE can take the survey and there is a section on the bottom for comments and other suggestions. Just to let the readers oo this thread know we have votes for everything mentioned in this thred plus many other suggestions such as modern French Aircraft such as Mirages, 2000B & C and F-1, Soviet Afgan war and modern era armor, and Royal Australian Air Force for WWII.

As we suspected the armor and air force set votes far exceed the naval ships so far.

Modelers who want to have their voices heard should respond to the survey NOW. The more input we get, the better our choice will be for the first 6 production sets !
