Hi Gents,

had anyone of you heard of 1:35 drawings for the M32 Truck Mount.

It's the MG mount for the GMC CCKW 353, the version with the 1608 cab = closed cab and steel cargo body.

Any support is highly appreciated!

Simply Google " m32 machine gun mount" you will get a pdf of a TM that covers a number of gun mounts and includes a side view of the M32 mount installed.

Italeri made a kit of the long wheel base, enclosed cab CCKW with the gun mount. You can still find the kit on eBay from time to time. The mount is not very well detailed but it is a starting point. Again a Google image search on the CCKW will get you lots of reference photos of the truck itself.

Hi Mike,

thanks for your answers.

Yes, I have TM 9-224 Machine Gun Mounts for Trucks, 1943 APR.

And, yes I know these pictures, but the aren't that helpful!
In addition I have the David Doyle book ". The GMC CCKW Truck in U.S. Service" and the Boniface Jeudi GMC book. There are quite nice, but no measures for the m32 truck mount are given!

As I had mentioned prior, 1/35 drawings would be very helpful, otherwise it will be guessig only.

The Italeri truck mount is very rudimentary and even the dimensions are not correct.

Thank you again for your advices, but it didn't get me any additional information.

Hobby Boss is offering the CCKW 352, but the dimension of the 1608 cab aren't correct and the MG mount is the M37 for CCKW 352 SWB with stell caro body und 1608 steel cab.

Best regards

This is the M36 mount (+ M49 ring), not the M32.

Here's the M32 :

Good morning friends and neighbors in this neck of the woods,

Frenchy, you are the man!!! Your expertise and knowledge I do highly appreciate. You know, what youe are talking about!!!! Outstanding expert!!!!

Jon, yes, I know, that Tamiya is offering the M36 mount for the cab 1609, the one with canvas top, as I used the M49 ring mount for my scratch build M32 truch mount for cab 1608, the closed steel one!

As the advices I got, weren't that helpful I decided to scratch build the M32 truck mount.

I add the pictures of my scratch build one. I used the outstanding book by David Doyle as reference, as this is the best one to use! In addition I used figure 6 of TM 9-224 Machine Gun Mounts for Trucks, 1943 APR, as additional reference. The Boniface Jeudi book in contrary is not helpful!

Enjoy the pictures of the M32 truck mount.

If the pictures wouldn't show up, as I'm a digital dummy, go to my albums 2-32sherman "GMC CCKW 353, cab 1608, with M32 truck mount" you'll find the pictures there.

Best regards

Here is my humble attempt to improve (slightly) on the Italeri offering:

Italeri cab and gun mount placed on Tamiya long wheelbase CCKW with wooden load bed. (should have used the Italeri steel bed.)

Hi Roy,

it's great, that you like my approach to build a most precise M32 gun mount for CCKW 353.

I'll improve it even more, as studying the photos at my David Doyle book of the GMC CCKW trucks, I discovered that weld beads are missing at my M32 gun mount.
The ARCHER weld beads decals are the best solutuion.

I'll add new pictures with the weld beads added, as soon as I can start modelling again, as my "modelling room" is closed for renovation.

Latest end of next week You'll find the pictures at my poject seide!

Best regards
