I have the Takom T29 that I haven't built yet, but it seems pretty nice. And Takom kits in general are good kits.

Hello fellow War Thunder comrade.

You won't get the T29/34 in War Thunder by either company.

I don't have neither kits, but I used to looking for these US heavy prototype then decided to not build it.

Takom's T29E3 is the 'ears' turret verion. Hobbyboss T29E1 is the one in WT. Both Takom T29 and T30/34 and Hoobbyboss T29 are simplified compare to real thing. The dimensions of both companies are far offe according to the schemes and the very limited bits of information people got.

Still, for display purpose, they are both good.

Takoms T30/34 kit is very easy to make and the fit of the parts is very good.

Takom's are significantly better offerings from an accuracy standpoint. There are some minor shape issues on the turrets when it comes to replicating the rather complex contours but it is minimal. The casting texture is generic but acceptable. Hobby Boss has some shape issues with the turret and many simplified details but it does provide the only out of the box for a T29.

I have the Takom T30/34 on my bench. If your not counting rivets, then it's a good kit to build.

also its not exactly the same machine. Hobby Boss does T29E1 and Takom does T29E3 and T30/34. The later one has a huge, bigger gun and the E3 has rangefinders on the sides of the turret (and a different gun than E1 as well)

Im building the Takom T29 right now, it's going together really well so far. I have the suspension and upper hull done, about to start on the turret.I believe there is a slight issue with how the rangefinder blends in to the turret casting. I have a picture which shows the correct profile. PM me your email and I will send it to you
