Hi guys
I managed to complete this kit from kinetic models.
Took me 2 months to complete and improve the kit
and some enhancement done to make it look better
it was taken to our local kinetic challenge here in Malaysia which was sponsored by kinetic models. It was like a rush job to me that only 2 weeks ago i started painting and finish the kit
My entry managed to get 3rd place ..and my previous rg-31 canadian got 1st place

here are some photos

prize was presented by the boss of kinetic models, MR Raymond Chung himself

thanks for looking

Sil

anyway, just a note for those who is or going to build this kit, this kit is not an easy kit. I wont not comment much about the accuracy coz Terry Ashey excellet review did mention about it. When i build this kit, i cant find any build review on the internet. It is just like nobody ever build it but i knew they are people who manage to build this.

Some of the points
1. the manual is still confusing. Some step need to be done later and not in the sequence suggested in the manual. So u need to do lots of dry fitting.
2. there are many visible seamlines. Clean-up is time consuming and they existed in almost 90% of the parts.
3. they contain lot of parts.
4. the hydraulic arm on the rear door is incomplete. need to add it with rod
5. Flash plastic existed in 50% of the parts.
6. the spare wheels is instructed the other way round. it should be reverse whereby the 'hollow' side supposed to face the outside. Somebody manage to correct me before i glue it.
7. If u want to pose the rear door close, i need to do some surgery to the rear panel. Better to pose it in open position.

The only things that keep me building is the almost excellent fitting.

Last week, i managed to catch Raymond of Kinetic Model when he was in our local ScaleArt2018 event. It was a 2 days event. We had quite a lengthy discussion from my experience bulding this kit as well as the future market for armour especially MRAPs. They are working on a new mraps kits which he hinted a rg33 or bushmaster. Maybe next year we can have it. He even ask me which kit that i would like to see first.

I also explain all the hardship that i went through making this kit as what in the photos above and he admitted about all the point that i mentioned above. Probably wrong team is doing it.

During the event, kinetic launched it's newly tooled kit under the gold label - the M346. This kit is really nice. looking at the parts they are molded very clean using state of the art system. I was presented with the kit and he ask me to have fun with it and maybe write a good review.

also they are going to release maxxpro plus soon...

personally i dont build modern armour much but i love to build mraps....

till then folks.... hope u enjoy my writing..

Congratulations, a well deserved prize!

I like it a lot, and also the short time you needed is amazing, maybe you can write about the process when you can?
