The 82nd trialled LAV 25 way back to before the first Gulf war. The Original Australian trials LAV 25 were from this trial

This is kind of ironic how things come full circle.
The HobbyBoss Chenowth FAV and the LAV 25mm were supposed to be a 1980s Rapid Reaction Force, but the US Army decided it was "Too light to fight" against the tank-heavy Soviet Union back then.
Now in 2018, we have the LAV 25mm and Polaris MRZRs in the 82nd...kind of the same concept.
Actually, there are better armed turrets for the LAV 25mm, such the the DELCO turret with twin TOW launchers.

Drop malfunctions can be pretty amusing to watch - assuming nobody gets hurt.

Easy build. Get Trunmpeters LAV-25 A2, add 8 heavy tie-down rings and Voyagers transparent armor. Anyway, more pictures are highly appreciated!

Combined with the MPF Light Tank, perhaps CKEM/LOSAT HMMWVs, and Javelin ATGM CROWS II on HMMWVs and JLTVs, along with Active Protection Systems, then you have a more potent US Army 82nd Airborne force than just Paratroopers.

That LAVA2 in Frenchy's photo looks like it just underwent depot maintenance to get in such good condition, or pulled from Prepositioned Stock.

Clearly you've never been a US Army Grunt. I've been out for quite a while and I was laughing and cheering hysterically the first time I saw that video. Don't worry, Uncle Sam has deep pockets, they'll buy more humvees!
We had a brand new PVT total a newly issued humvee. Next formation, they made him come out in front of the company and gave him a made-up award. Many LOL's were had by all.

Haha, no, serving cop, 22 years and counting. One night shift in my first six months on the street, I stacked a patrol car, went back to the station and drove out in another one. Can’t do that today, different times. And I suffered the ridicule of my colleagues for weeks after. Can’t do that now, either.

As long as nobody was severely hurt during an accident we would laugh at the idiocy and destruction. One of my Lt's started a brush fire with a smoke grenade that almost destroyed two humvee's loaded with millions of dollars of classified EW equipment. He tossed the smoke grenade into some dry grass at YFC during August and it went up fast. We realized something was wrong when he asked for a canteen and then another canteen and another. He was trying to put it out with water but it was out of control and started surrounding the rigs. I was squad leader I grabbed the fire extinguisher from my rig while the TC from the other grab his and we cleared a path for the rigs to get out. When we were clear I radioed range control and they got fire fighters out there pretty quick. My Lt. never lived it down. At a company formation after the field ex we presented him with an empty fire extinguisher with a big bow on it.
